Jonathan Tanner of Nightingale College joins host Peter Stevenson of modern8 to talk about his passion for building companies, how refusing to be told no helped him get an MBA and why Nightingale looked for a rebrand in 2021 and what that process gave them.

Jonathan Tanner, Chief Marketing Officer of Nightingale Education Group and Founder of the Nightingale Foundation, is a business strategist and entrepreneur. For more than a decade at Nightingale College, he has improved health outcomes across the United States by increasing access to nursing education to underserved and underrepresented populations. Jonathan is a member of the organization’s Executive Council and strategically guides business development, marketing, and communications. At Nightingale Foundation, Jonathan is a member of the Board and serves as Vice President, whose focus is to develop innovative financial solutions for pre- and post-licensure nursing students.
Jonathan has successfully increased access to nursing education in nearly all U.S. states and helped thousands of students enroll in nursing school.
Jonathan was born in Arizona and raised in Sandy, Utah. He now lives in Kaysville, Utah with his wife, Carley, and their four children. His family loves wake surfing and spending time at their mountain cabin. Jonathan can be found most weekends at one of his kid’s sporting events, serving a neighbor, and attending church. Jonathan’s favorite quote is, “Wherever you go, there you are.” Jonathan deeply believes each person can be the positive difference for their community, career, or family, ultimately, making the world a better place.
